Aylesbury to benefit from £15.9 million ultrafast broadband boost

Nov 8, 2022

Netomnia, the UK’s fastest-growing wholesale fibre broadband operator, has today announced that its full fibre multi-gigabit network is being rolled out in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire in South East England as part of an investment of up to £15.9 million in the area.

Netomnia will provide Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) broadband infrastructure to around 53,000 premises in Aylesbury and the surrounding areas, delivering access to its ultrafast and reliable broadband network, helping to future proof and diversify the local economy.

The latest announcement builds on Netomnia’s existing presence in the area, where it is already building its network in 10 locations across the South East.

Zoltan Kovacs, Managing Director at Netomnia, commented: “We’re thrilled to be bringing our fibre infrastructure to Aylesbury, providing residents and businesses with the opportunity to experience the best broadband speeds in the UK.

“Our network will enable people to unlock the digital potential that full fibre broadband brings, at a time where we are seeing even more people working from home and using multiple devices at once.”

Along with YouFibre, an internet service provider, Netomnia has secured £418 million in funding since 2020 to support its rollout strategy.

Netomnia makes wholesale connectivity available to Internet Service Providers (ISPs), building the infrastructure for their broadband services. Its network supports symmetrical (equal upload and download speeds) multi-gigabit services up to 10 Gbps (10,000 Mbps) using XGS-PON technology; this means ISPs using Netomnia’s network will be able to offer their customers reliable ultrafast speeds for decades to come.
