Netomnia’s ultrafast full fibre broadband network is expanding in Liverpool. Thousands of residents and businesses in Aintree and Stoneycroft will soon have access to future-proofed fibre infrastructure as part of an investment of up to £70 million.
The full-fibre network, which is already being built, will provide ultrafast broadband access to more than 234,000 premises in Liverpool, as Netomnia continues its investment in the local community.
The network will allow for upload and download speeds of up to 10Gbps, 17 times faster than the UK average. This capability means that the city’s broadband needs can be met now and for decades to come.
The full-fibre infrastructure provided by Netomnia brings with it many benefits, not just to Liverpool, but also to the UK as a whole. It allows more new businesses to establish in previously untenable areas, helps local businesses expand and compete with bigger brands, and leads to better productivity and innovation. It also improves access to healthcare, as well as learning and development opportunities.
Zoltan Kovacs, Managing Director at Netomnia, the UK’s fastest-growing network operator, says, “Our team has been working in and around Liverpool for the past year to provide a much-needed boost to broadband access. It’s always exciting to start work in new areas, showing residents that we are serious about upgrading their broadband infrastructure, and giving them a brighter, and faster future. We are fully committed to bringing full-fibre to as many communities across Liverpool as we can.
“At Netomnia we understand the transformative power of reliable internet access, helping homeowners and businesses bridge the digital divide in the area. They will be able to access significantly increased speeds, allowing them to fully leverage the vast resources and opportunities offered by the Internet. Beyond the here and now, our forward-thinking approach ensures that this network is capable of accommodating any broadband needs in the future.”
